The goal of this sculpture was to emphasize its imperfection. The leaning tower of Pisa leans so to exaggerate this, I cut the tower in half and dislocated it to give a more dynamic and nerving look. The skyscrapers on the left were added to re-center the flow of the sculpture upwards and also add a contrast of the two different styles of building from the old gothic tower to the modern art-deco buildings. I purposely used white for the small poles around the tower to better outline the details and now in retrospect, should have continued that theme in the skyscrapers.
