From roots embedded in product and industrial design, I've slowly dove into more graphical and the more artistic values of design. Originally being heavily taught a regimental system of how to accomplish a piece of work, I wanted to branch out into other areas and through the past two to three years I've begun to establish my own style which I'm still trying to fully pinpoint and understand. Most prominently my time at UCA, I was able to experiment with the many different facets of what art and design really is.
I've never had one distinct form of creating that I could confidently depict as what truly represents myself. I've always preferred to temporarily latch on to one style, experiment, and when I feel satisfied that I've done everything I can, I move onto the next system of creating. This allows me to have fun with what I do but more importantly, allows me to constantly widen my understanding of the arts.
The way in which different shapes and colours could interact with each other to connote widely different emotions and meanings have always intrigued me and is the same belief I try to implement in my other work. How different ingredients can be used differently in contrasting scenarios to fit the right purpose and execute the desired task.
